Governors play an important role in the life and management of the school; and we are fortunate at Whitchurch High to have a group of governors who are committed to taking forward the aims and objectives of the school and to help every child achieve their potential.

Governors are volunteers who give of their time and expertise in order to support the school, its staff and pupils and to promote Whitchurch High School in the local and wider community. We find it very rewarding being part of such a successful innovative school and hope that the information on these pages will give you more information about the governors’ roles and responsibilities.

The day-to-day management of the school is devolved and delegated to the Head teacher and his team of staff. Agreed and established systems operate to deal with communications from parents and the wider community and contact should be made direct with the school. Governors receive regular reports on the progress of the school through reports, communications, visits and meetings. If you wish to contact individual members of the governing body, please do so via the school office.
