Whitchurch High School is a popular co-educational maintained comprehensive school with almost 2,400 pupils on roll. The school is based on two sites in the suburb of Whitchurch. Years 7, 8 and 9 are based on the lower school site off Manor Way, with Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 students on the upper school site in the Village.
We are an inclusive school and have a SEN Specialist Resource Base (SRB) on both sites which admits up to seventy pupils from throughout the city. Cardiff Council separately administers all admissions for the SRB in partnership with the school.
As a Foundation School the governors are the Admissions Authority and therefore directly manage all mainstream admissions.
All applications must be done on-line through the Cardiff Council website www.cardiff.gov.uk The applications link will open the week commencing Monday 27th September 2021 and close Monday 22nd November 2021. This decision is made by the Case Advisory Panel, following all advice received during the student’s Annual Review process.
