National Young Writers
Success for Students in National Young Writers Poetry Competition
We are incredibly proud of our students who recently took part in the Young Writers “I Have a Dream” poetry competition, a national contest designed to inspire young people to express their creativity, imagination and ideas through poetry.
A huge congratulations goes to Michael, who achieved an outstanding 3rd place in the competition. As part of his achievement, Michael was awarded a trophy and a £50 cinema voucher, and his winning poem will now be published in a national Young Writers poetry anthology, alongside work from students across the country.
We would also like to celebrate Joshua, who received a Certificate of Merit for his impressive entry. This is a fantastic accomplishment and a reflection of his creativity and commitment to his writing.
The competition provided a wonderful opportunity for students to engage with poetry, develop their confidence as writers and share their unique voices on a national platform. We are extremely proud of all students who took part and represented the school so positively.
A big thank you to our English Faculty for supporting and encouraging our young writers to dream big and put their ideas into words. Well done to everyone involved, a brilliant achievement!
