Year 9 Student Plays Key Role in Whitchurch Library Gardens Project

Whitchurch High School is delighted to celebrate the achievements of Aaryanna in Year 9, who has played an important and meaningful role in the development of the Whitchurch Library Gardens project.

From the very beginning, Aaryanna dedicated her time, ideas, and enthusiasm to the initiative. She worked closely with organisers to ensure that young people’s voices were not only heard but genuinely shaped the planning and vision of the space. Her commitment helped ensure that the project reflected the needs and perspectives of the whole community.

As the project reached completion, Aaryanna was invited to take part in a very special moment, cutting the ribbon at the official opening ceremony. The event was attended by Cllr Jenny Burke, alongside Whitchurch and Tongwynlais ward members Cllr Carr, Cllr Palmer, and Cllr Jones, highlighting the significance of the occasion and the value placed on youth involvement.

Aaryanna’s contribution is a brilliant example of what young people can achieve when they are trusted, empowered, and included in community decision‑making.

Well done, Aaryanna, you’ve made the school and the local community incredibly proud.
