5th Life-Saving Donation Day

Whitchurch High School Partners with Welsh Blood Service for 5th Life-Saving Donation Day

Whitchurch High School is proud to have hosted its fifth Blood Donation Day in partnership with the Welsh Blood Service, continuing a tradition that began in 2019. After a pause during 2020 and 2021, the initiative resumed in 2022 and has grown stronger each year, reflecting our school’s commitment to community and compassion.

This year’s event was another resounding success, with students and staff stepping forward to make life-saving donations. Each donation has the potential to help up to three people in need across Wales, making a real difference to lives in our community.

Lauren, one of our incredible donors, shared her experience: “It was so easy, quick, painless, and I’m pleased to have given something that could save a life!”

Our Business Manager, Mr Lilly, who has been instrumental in organising these events since the very beginning, said: “It’s inspiring to see so many of our students and staff come together for such an important cause. Every donation count, and the enthusiasm we’ve seen this year shows the strength of our school community.”

Headteacher, Mr John, added: “Whitchurch High School is proud to support the Welsh Blood Service. These events highlight the values we strive to instil in our students, kindness, responsibility, and a willingness to help others. I’m grateful to everyone who contributed to making this day a success.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated, encouraged others, or helped organise the event. Your selflessness and community spirit make Whitchurch High School proud.
