Remembrance Day

Whitchurch High School Students Lead Remembrance Sunday Tribute at Whitchurch Cenotaph

On Remembrance Sunday, Whitchurch High School students Ewa Balogun and Marcello Fasano represented the school with dignity and respect, laying a wreath at the Whitchurch Cenotaph in Cardiff. This solemn ceremony formed part of the national tribute to those who served and sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we cherish today.

Joined by members of the local community, Ewa and Marcello stood alongside veterans, families, and residents to honour those who gave everything in service. The wreath-laying was a poignant moment for all in attendance, bringing people together to reflect on the importance of remembrance and the enduring legacy of those who served.

Whitchurch High School is proud to have student leaders take part in this moving act of respect, standing as symbols of our school’s commitment to remembering those who came before us.

In the words of the students: “Today, we remember and honour all who have sacrificed, so that we might live in peace.”

Lest we forget.
