Year 12 Students Visit the University of Oxford Open Days
Sixteen of our Year 12 students recently had the exciting opportunity to attend the University of Oxford Open Days, gaining a valuable insight into life at one of the world's most prestigious universities.
During their visit, students explored a number of Oxford's historic colleges, attended admissions and subject-specific talks, and learned more about the application process from university staff and current undergraduate students. They also had the chance to meet tutors and ask questions about academic study, student life, and the opportunities available at Oxford.
The visit provided students with a first-hand experience of university life, helping them to better understand what studying at a world-leading institution involves and the pathways available to those considering higher education.
As well as being highly informative, the experience was incredibly inspiring. Students were encouraged to think ambitiously about their futures, explore their academic interests in greater depth, and consider the wide range of opportunities that may be available to them beyond school.
We were delighted by the enthusiasm and engagement shown throughout the visit, and we hope the experience will support and inspire students as they begin to consider their next steps after Sixth Form.
A huge thank you to the University of Oxford for providing such a welcoming and informative experience for our students.
