Fiji Rugby Visit Inspires Whitchurch High School Students
Whitchurch High School was delighted to welcome members of the Fiji Rugby squad and representatives from the Fiji Rugby Union ahead of their match against the Welsh Rugby Union at the Principality Stadium.
The visit provided a fantastic opportunity for our rugby players to meet international athletes and gain a valuable insight into the dedication, preparation, and mindset required to compete at the highest level of the game. Students took part in an engaging question-and-answer session, where they were able to learn more about life as professional rugby players and the experiences of representing their country on the international stage.
Our students also benefited from a series of practical coaching sessions, developing their skills through activities focused on passing, agility, and defence. The enthusiasm, commitment, and expertise demonstrated by the visitors made the experience both enjoyable and highly educational.
As part of the visit, the Fiji Rugby delegation generously donated an official Fiji Rugby shirt to the school and gifted match tickets for the weekend's fixture, providing an unforgettable opportunity for our players to watch elite international rugby in person.
