Year 12 Law Students Visit Cardiff Crown Court

Our Year 12 A Level Law students recently enjoyed a fascinating and informative visit to Cardiff Crown Court, providing a valuable opportunity to see the legal system in action beyond the classroom.

The trip included a behind-the-scenes tour of areas of the court that are not normally accessible to the public, giving students a unique insight into the day-to-day workings of the Crown Court. Students also attended an engaging and informative talk delivered by the Court Clerk, who explained the different stages of a criminal trial and the roles of those involved in the legal process.

A highlight of the visit was the opportunity to observe several live court proceedings, including a sentencing hearing. Seeing real cases unfold allowed students to connect their classroom studies with real-world legal practice and gain a deeper understanding of how the criminal justice system operates.

The experience was both educational and inspiring, bringing key aspects of the A Level Law curriculum to life and helping students develop a greater appreciation of the complexity and importance of the legal system.

We would like to thank Cardiff Crown Court for providing such a welcoming and insightful experience for our students.
