Ty Calon Student Lebron Recognised as ASDAN’s First Ever ‘Champion’
We are delighted to celebrate a remarkable achievement by one of our Ty Calon students, Lebron, who has been recognised nationally by ASDAN as their first ever ‘ASDAN Champion’ for his outstanding contribution to the local community.
ASDAN, a charitable education organisation that supports the development of young people through life‑skills‑based qualifications and programmes, launched its new “ASDAN Champions” initiative this year. Lebron’s nomination marks the beginning of this scheme — and we are incredibly proud that one of our learners has set the standard for others to follow.
Lebron was nominated due to the positive impact he has made through his commitment, perseverance and willingness to support those around him. His contributions within both school and the wider community embody the values of kindness, responsibility and resilience that we strive to promote every day within Ty Calon, our specialist provision for students with additional learning needs.
To mark this special accomplishment, Mr Morgan, Assistant Headteacher and Lead for ALN and Ty Calon, had the honour of presenting Lebron with his award. The presentation was a proud moment for staff and students alike, recognising not only Lebron’s achievements but also the hard work and progress he demonstrates every day.
Mr Morgan commented on how deserving Lebron is of this recognition, highlighting his enthusiasm for learning, his determination to overcome challenges and his instinctive ability to brighten the school community through his positive attitude.
Lebron’s success showcases the incredible potential of our young people and serves as an inspiration to students across the school. We are immensely proud of him and look forward to seeing what he achieves next.
