Whitchurch High School Partners with Welsh Blood Service to Save Lives
Whitchurch High School once again proudly partnered with the Welsh Blood Service for another impactful blood donation event. Following the success of last year’s initiative, students and staff came together to contribute to this vital cause, reaffirming their commitment to making a difference in our community.
This year’s event saw an incredible number of participants, with many successful donations collected. Each donation has the potential to save up to three lives, meaning Whitchurch High School has contributed significantly to the health and well-being of those in need across Wales.
The partnership with the Welsh Blood Service continues to align perfectly with our school’s values of community engagement and service to others. We are immensely proud of our students, particularly those donating for the first time. Their selflessness and bravery in stepping forward to give blood inspire us all.
Reflecting on the day, Tom our Lead student, a first-time donor, shared: "I was a bit nervous at first, but the staff were so kind, and knowing I could help someone in need made it all worth it."
The Welsh Blood Service team praised the students and staff for their enthusiasm and hospitality, expressing gratitude for Whitchurch High School’s ongoing support. A huge thank you goes to everyone who participated, including the staff who helped organise the day, the students who donated or encouraged their peers, and the Welsh Blood Service team for their professionalism and dedication.
Together, we continue to show how collective action can create a meaningful impact. If you missed this event, keep an eye out for future opportunities to get involved and help save lives.
