Whitchurch High School Crowned Triple Champions at National Football Finals
Whitchurch High School is celebrating an extraordinary achievement after all three of its teams triumphed at the Welsh Schools Football Association (WSFA) finals held in Oswestry over the weekend.
In what can only be described as a landmark moment for the school, the Girls’ U15, Boys’ U13, and Boys’ U19 teams all secured victory in their respective national finals:
To have three teams reach the finals is an incredible feat in itself—but for all three to come away as champions is a rare and outstanding accomplishment that reflects the dedication, skill, and team spirit of our students and staff.
Headteacher Mr. Nick John praised everyone involved: “This is a moment of immense pride for our whole school community. The talent, discipline and determination shown by our players across all three age groups is truly inspiring. I’d like to congratulate every player, coach and member of staff who made this possible—it’s a great honour for Whitchurch High School and a memory these students will carry with them for life.”
The school extends heartfelt thanks to the coaching staff, families and supporters who have backed the teams throughout the season. This remarkable success not only highlights the strength of football at Whitchurch but also the power of teamwork, perseverance and school spirit.
