Whitchurch High School Students Shine at TeenTech Festival 2024
Twenty SEREN students recently participated in the TeenTech Festival 2024 in Cardiff, an inspiring event designed to ignite student interest in cutting-edge science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The festival offered an array of interactive workshops, immersive activities, and real-world challenges, all aimed at showcasing the exciting possibilities within STEM careers. Students stepped into the roles of designers, developers, and marketers, working together to solve problems using innovative tools such as sensors and data analytics.
Students also had the chance to engage with industry leaders, major tech companies, and regional innovators, gaining valuable insights into career pathways that combine creativity, computational thinking, and collaboration.
A key focus of the TeenTech initiative is shifting perceptions about STEM careers, particularly among girls, to inspire the next generation of technologists, engineers, and inventors. Events like this empower young people to dream big and see themselves as the innovators of tomorrow.
Whitchurch High School is proud of its students for their enthusiasm and creativity throughout the festival, which highlighted the power of teamwork and forward-thinking in solving today’s challenges.
