Fifty students from Whitchurch High School recently returned from an incredible week of skiing in Austria, where they embraced every challenge, from learning new skills on the slopes to tackling black runs by the end of the trip!
The students showed outstanding behaviour and attitude throughout the week, making the trip an absolute pleasure for the staff accompanying them. Their enthusiasm, determination, and teamwork were evident in every aspect of the experience.
The week began with students getting to grips with their skis, progressing from beginner slopes to confidently taking on blue and red runs. As their skills developed, many students challenged themselves further, with the advanced groups flying down the blacks by the final day.
Despite a spell of heavy snow and poor visibility, spirits remained high, and the fresh powder only added to the adventure. The final day saw perfect sunshine, providing the perfect conditions for everyone to enjoy their last runs on the mountain.
The fun continued in the evenings, with a fantastic bowling night at Filzmoos Freizeit Zentrum and a last-minute change of plans due to bad weather leading to a brilliant evening of indoor mini golf at Eingang.
The students took everything in their stride, making the most of every opportunity and creating lasting memories.
