Celebrating Talent at the Year 13 Leavers’ Concert
The Performing Arts Faculty at Whitchurch High School proudly welcomed families, friends, and staff to the annual Year 13 Leavers’ Concert – a much-loved tradition that showcases the exceptional talents of our departing Sixth Form students.
This year’s concert featured performances from some of the school’s most established ensembles, including the School Orchestra, Upper School Choir, Chamber Choir, and Boys’ Vocal Group. These group performances were beautifully interspersed with solo items from our Year 13 Music students, each demonstrating their dedication, artistry, and musical development during their time at Whitchurch.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Richard Fice Memorial Award, given annually to a student who has made an outstanding contribution to the Performing Arts Faculty. This year’s deserving recipient was Sam Snook, whose commitment, leadership, and creative spirit have left a lasting impact.
Head of Performing Arts, Mrs Jones Price, commented: “The Leavers’ Concert is always a bittersweet occasion. It’s a celebration of everything our students have achieved, and a farewell to those who’ve played such an important role in the life of the faculty. Sam has been an inspiring presence, and we’re incredibly proud of all our Year 13 performers.”
The concert was a fitting tribute to a remarkable group of students, and a reminder of the strength and vibrancy of the performing arts at Whitchurch High School.
