Whitchurch High School Students Enjoy Unforgettable Paris Adventure

Eighty-four students from Whitchurch High School recently returned from a memorable three-day visit to Paris, packed with culture, excitement, and sunshine. The trip gave pupils the opportunity to experience the French capital’s most iconic sights and immerse themselves in the language and culture.

The group kicked off their adventure with a full-day pass to Parc Astérix, where students enjoyed thrilling rides and live entertainment set against the backdrop of beloved French comic-book characters.

On day two, they took in breathtaking panoramic views from the Tour Montparnasse, followed by a scenic boat cruise along the River Seine, offering unique views of Paris’s famous landmarks. Later, they explored the historic district of Montmartre, visited the stunning Sacré-Cœur Basilica, and enjoyed an evening meal in the charming Place du Tertre, with time afterwards to browse local shops and artists’ stalls.

The final day featured a behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Stade de France, home to some of the country’s greatest sporting moments.

Throughout the trip, students were exceptional ambassadors for the school, demonstrating curiosity, maturity, and enthusiasm in every activity.
Reflecting on the trip, Mrs Davies, Faculty Leader for Languages, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to experience Paris first-hand, practise their French, and create lasting memories. They were an absolute credit to the school and made the whole experience a joy to lead.”

With glorious weather throughout and a packed itinerary, the Paris trip was a resounding success and a highlight of the year for both staff and students.
