Whitchurch High School 1st XV Competes in Inaugural John Fisher State School Rugby Festival
The Whitchurch High School 1st XV recently travelled to Purley, London, to participate in the first-ever John Fisher State School Rugby Festival. The event, hosted by The John Fisher School, brought together talented rugby teams from across the country to compete in this exciting new tournamente challenging weather conditions, the Whitchurch team put on some excellent performances throughout the day. While they narrowly missed out on securing a place in the final, the boys played with great determination and skill, demonstrating the high level of talent within the squad.
Although the team didn’t advance to the final, the festival was a fantastic experience for the players. They not only faced tough opposition but also enjoyed the opportunity to connect with other state school rugby teams and showcase their abilities on a national stage.
We are incredibly proud of the team’s effort and sportsmanship, and we look forward to seeing their continued success in future matches. Well done, boys!
