Year 7 Eisteddfod 2025: A Celebration of Welsh Culture
The spirit of Welsh culture was alive at Whitchurch High School today as our Year 7 students took part in the annual Eisteddfod. The event showcased a fantastic range of talent, with students performing songs, dances, and poetry, celebrating the rich traditions of Wales.
A huge congratulations to Polly Lewis, who was named Student of the Day for her outstanding contribution, and to Tŷ Coch, who emerged as the overall house winners!
Reflecting on the event, Headteacher Mr. John said: "It was wonderful to see our Year 7 students embracing Welsh culture with such enthusiasm and talent. Their performances were inspiring, and the sense of camaraderie and house spirit was fantastic. Congratulations to Polly, Tŷ Coch, and everyone who took part – they should all be incredibly proud!"
