In a moving tribute on Remembrance Day, lead students from Whitchurch High School took a solemn moment to lay a wreath at Whitchurch Cenotaph, paying respect to the brave men and women who made sacrifices in service to our nation.
The ceremony, which drew participants from various segments of the community, featured a poignant parade led by the Tongwynlais Brass Band. The procession, marching down Penlline Road, included cadet forces, dignitaries, and members of the public, creating a unified atmosphere of remembrance.
The route culminated at the Whitchurch Parish War Memorial in the Library Gardens on Park Road, Whitchurch. The memorial, a focal point for reflection, served as the backdrop for a touching ceremony that brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds, all joined in honouring those who gave their lives for our freedom.
Leading this heartfelt tribute were Diego Fasano and Luca White. With respect and reverence, they laid a wreath on behalf of Whitchurch High School, symbolising the gratitude and remembrance felt by the entire school community.
As we remember the sacrifices of the past, Whitchurch High School remains committed to instilling the values of gratitude, respect, and remembrance in our students. This solemn occasion serves as a reminder of the importance of honouring and learning from our history.
