Youth Schools Festival

First Ever Music for Youth Schools Festival a Resounding Success.

Cardiff and Vale Music Education made history with their inaugural Music for Youth schools festival, showcasing the vibrant musical talents of schools across Cardiff and the Vale. The event, supported by the National Music Service Wales, promised an unforgettable day of performances, and it certainly delivered.

The morning kicked off with stirring renditions from various school choirs and a dynamic swing band. As the melodies filled the air, attendees couldn't help but tap their feet and sway along. However, it was the impromptu performance of "YMCA" by the swing band that truly stole the show, igniting a spontaneous eruption of dancing and cheers from the crowd.

Whitchurch High School, a proud participant in the event, dazzled the audience with captivating performances from their Youth Choir, Upper School Chamber Choir, and Swing Band. Their contribution added a layer of brilliance to an already remarkable event.

Thanks to the resounding success of this inaugural festival, plans are already underway to make it a yearly tradition. With the support of National Music Service Wales, the future looks bright for music education in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Students, teachers, and music enthusiasts alike eagerly anticipate the opportunity to come together once again to celebrate the power of music and youth talent.
