Whitchurch High School Hosts Successful Higher Education and Careers Fair

The Sixth Form at Whitchurch High School recently organised a highly successful Higher Education and Careers Fair, providing an invaluable evening of talks and guidance for parents and students. The event covered essential topics such as the UCAS process and student finance, ensuring attendees were well-informed about their future educational and career options.

The fair saw the participation of several prestigious universities, including Cardiff University and the University of Birmingham. This provided parents and students with a unique opportunity to engage directly with university representatives, ask questions, and gain insights into various academic programs. In addition to universities, apprenticeship providers were also present, offering a comprehensive view of alternative career pathways.

Organised and run by the dedicated Sixth Form team, the event was a testament to their hard work and commitment to supporting students in making informed decisions about their future. Their meticulous planning and execution ensured the evening was both informative and engaging.

Head Teacher Nick John expressed his appreciation for the Sixth Form team's efforts, stating, "The Higher Education and Careers Fair was an outstanding success, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our Sixth Form team. It provided a fantastic platform for our students and their parents to explore various higher education and career options, helping them make well-informed decisions about their futures."

The fair received positive feedback from both parents and students, who appreciated the opportunity to gather detailed information and ask specific questions in a supportive environment. Events like these underscore Whitchurch High School's commitment to providing comprehensive support and guidance to its students.

We extend our gratitude to all the universities, apprenticeship providers, and the Sixth Form team for making this event a resounding success. Your efforts have significantly contributed to our students' future success and aspirations.
