Medal Success
Triple Medal Success at the Special Olympics National Games
We are incredibly proud of Esme, a Year 11 Ty Calon student, who recently had the fantastic honour of representing Team Wales at the Special
Olympics National Games, held at Nottingham University.
Competing in badminton, Esme produced an outstanding performance and returned home with an impressive three medals:
- Gold – Mixed Doubles
- Gold – Women’s Doubles
- Bronze – Singles
Representing Wales on the national stage is a tremendous achievement in itself, but to come away with two gold medals and a bronze makes the occasion even more special.
Esme’s success is a wonderful reward for her hard work, determination and sporting talent, and everyone at Whitchurch High School is incredibly proud of what she has achieved.
A huge congratulations to Esme on a remarkable achievement. Da iawn, Esme!
