Year 9 Form Representatives Visit Cardiff University

Our Year 9 Form Representatives enjoyed an exciting and informative visit to Cardiff University, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the School Health Research Network (SHRN) and its work supporting the health and wellbeing of young people across Wales.

The day began with an inspiring introduction from former Whitchurch High School student Iwan Hopkins, before pupils had the opportunity to explore the university campus and experience the surroundings of one of Wales’ leading universities.

As part of the visit, pupils discovered more about the important work of SHRN and also explored the rapidly developing world of artificial intelligence. They considered how AI can be used effectively to support learning and picked up some valuable tips for making the most of AI tools.

The visit provided our Form Representatives with a fantastic opportunity to explore a range of important themes, from health and wellbeing research to higher education and the future of technology.

A huge thank you to Cardiff University and the SHRN team for welcoming our pupils and providing such an engaging and informative experience.

We hope the visit has inspired our Year 9 pupils to continue asking questions, exploring new ideas and thinking about the opportunities available to them in the future.
