Peer Mentors

Year 12 Students Ready to Make a Difference as Peer Mentors

A group of our Year 12 students have successfully completed two days of Peer Mentor training and are now ready to put their new skills into practice by supporting younger pupils at Whitchurch High School.

The programme will see our Peer Mentors working with key students as they transition into Year 10 and begin their GCSE journey, providing encouragement, guidance and a friendly source of support.

Through the programme, younger pupils will be encouraged to develop their confidence, resilience and positive study habits, helping them to approach the challenges of GCSE study with a positive mindset.

The experience is also a fantastic opportunity for our Year 12 students. Taking on the responsibility of being a Peer Mentor will allow them to develop valuable leadership and communication skills, while making a positive contribution to the wider school community.

We are extremely proud of our new Peer Mentors and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on the pupils they support.

Well done to everyone involved, and good luck to our Year 12 Peer Mentors!
