Leo Recognised for Responsible Actions at Sully Island
Everyone in Ty Calon is incredibly proud of Leo, who demonstrated fantastic awareness, responsibility and maturity during the summer after spotting two boys stranded on Sully Island.
Recognising that they could be in difficulty, Leo immediately alerted his dad, which led to the lifeguard team being made aware of the situation and the two boys being brought to safety.
Leo’s actions did not go unnoticed. In recognition of his contribution, he was invited to visit the lifeguard station, where he was presented with a certificate celebrating his actions.
It is a wonderful example of how being observant, thinking of others and speaking up when something does not seem right can make a real difference.
Everyone at Whitchurch High School, and particularly in Ty Calon, is extremely proud of Leo.
A fantastic example of responsibility, kindness and community spirit. Da iawn, Leo!
