Celebrating the European Day of Languages
Whitchurch High School was delighted to celebrate the European Day of Languages, bringing pupils and staff together to recognise and celebrate the wonderful variety of languages and cultures found across Europe and within our own school community.
Throughout the day, pupils took part in a range of activities organised by the Languages Faculty, including quizzes, interactive challenges and opportunities to explore different languages, countries and traditions.
The celebrations encouraged pupils to think about the value of learning another language, not only as a useful skill but also as a way of discovering new cultures, communicating with others and opening up future opportunities.
The European Day of Languages celebrates linguistic diversity and encourages people of all ages to discover and develop their language skills. At Whitchurch High School, it provided a fantastic opportunity for pupils to broaden their horizons while celebrating the diversity that exists within our school and beyond.
A huge thank you to our Languages Faculty, along with all the staff and pupils who helped make the celebrations such a success.
Diolch yn fawr, and we look forward to continuing to celebrate languages and cultures throughout the year!
